                        QUARTERLY ENDORSEMENTS

                       CARLOS CORDERO

                       Vuela
                       • Unison/2-part; piano; Spanish (Carlos Cordero)
                       • 2’ 10”. Reminder that we can uplift each other in being kind, loving versions of our-
selves. Incredibly effective economy of resources used to maintain interest and energy
in singers, as well as audience. Clear options for unison, with up to an occasional 3
parts. Perfect for any elementary/middle school program! - a concert closer!
                          (ProjectEncore.org/carlos-cordero)

                       MICHAEL BUSSEWITZ-QUARM
                       Still the Same Love
                       • SSAA div; several short treble solos; piano; English (Euan Tait)
                       • 6’ 00”. Poetry urging us to find a way back to loving ourselves and loving each other,
even during healing. Each section builds upon the previous, into a warm fullness of
texture and harmony. Ends with multi-line imitation, expressing individual pathways
to love, healing, acceptance. Fabulous addition to treble repertoire!
                          (ProjectEncore.org/michael-bussewitz-quarm)

                       JOSEPH ECKMAN
                       Alleluia
                       • SSAATB; a cappella; English (traditional)
                       • 4’ 12”. Simple text; straightforward theme, shared among all voices in the A section. B
section has some mild SSAA dissonance, juxtaposed against insistent one-note basses.
Subtle hat-tip to Thompson’s classic setting, along with majestic key change at return
to A. Flowing lines, very tonal. Ideal for secular or sacred setting. HS, church, any!
                          (ProjectEncore.org/joseph-eckman)

                       CHRISTOPHER J. HOH
                       This is the Day
                       • SATB; limited divisi; organ; English (Psalm 118)
                       • 2’ 55”. Festive setting for choir and organ, for Easter season or general use. Vigorous
rhythmic outer sections contrast with a central chant-like passage. The middle portion
begins with floating rhythmic/metrical chordal movement, building in range, dynamic,
and tempo to the return of the opening material. Bright new option for celebrations!
